The First Day of the rest of My Life

How should I begin? I guess I will take a moment to state why I've decided to create a personal blog. The intended purpose of this website will be to keep interested parties (and myself) apprised of the places life will take me over the next year or so. As inspiration for this concept, I have my Mother, who gave me her love of travel and has, for as long as I can remember, urged me to keep a journal of my thoughts and experiences. So I will now finally try to take her advice and follow through on this project. I hope you will all enjoy the things I post and the pictures I attach.
